With over a billion people accessing the Internet from all over the world, over 25 million domain names already registered and thousands of new ones being registered daily - it is no wonder that many people are finding out that their actual names are no longer available as domains on the Internet. Even relatively obscure (or so you would think!) names are already taken up - sometimes on all domain extensions (e.g. .com, .net, .info etc.).
But why would people want to register their own names as domains in the first place? Well, there a huge number of advantages to doing this, as a great number of people who were lucky enough to get an unaltered online version of their names have found out.
- A blog at their own domain can greatly increase business and social opportunities for them
- They impress friends, family, and even future employers with personalized e-mail addresses
- They discover useful and effective ways to earn spare income from the Internet
- They give advice and information in their chosen field or |

Are you just starting out with your blog and trying to figure out how to get people to visit and read your posts? One of the easiest ways to get free or cheap traffic to you site is to submit your posts to the social bookmark sites like StumbleUpon, and Digg. Try this method to boost your blog traffic and see what results you get.
It goes without saying, new content is essential to submission. Social network sites certainly are interested in your new content that you've posted to you site but they only want to hear about it once and they want it fresh. Don't spam the network sites and don't spit out the same old stuff. Make your content of interest and value and people will come to read. Develop a reputation of providing valuable content and you will gain loyal readers and potentially many subscribers too. Aim to post new content daily. If you can manage five new posts a day that would be a great practice for the first month. In 30 days you will have 150 |

Opinions. We all have them and most of us enjoy sharing them. But where can you express them? The place where everyone does everything nowadays, the internet.
The internet is the new frontier for sharing your opinions with the world. Anyone can start a blog and gain readership in no time at all. This could be your forum to talk about whatever you want. Politics, Film, Music, Business, the list is endless and you can bet that there is an audience for whatever topic you want to write about.
One of my favorite things to do is go to one blog and follows links from there to other blogs. I just keep following a list of links that will take me all over the internet. One minute I can be reading about the political problems in Washington the next I can be reading about surfing in Australia. This new media is far more varied and more fascinating than the stale, old style of journalism. I don't just want to know |

If you have started the blogging game one of the main problems you will face is getting traffic to your site. Obviously you will be using SEO and linking to try and drive some free traffic to your site but this wont show fruits immediately and the chances are you will get disappointed and give up.
As far as I am concerned there is no better traffic generator on the net like Google adwords the unfortunate thing is you have to pay for this traffic. I want to show you today how I effectively use Google adwords to increase the popularity of my blog for the lowest amount of money possible. He is a list of the steps I take to make this happen.
-You must first have a list of around 10 to 15 keywords your blog is targeting and they must be relevant to your blog. If you are unsure about relevance use Googles keyword tool and do a site search on your blog. This will give you lots of keywords that are relevant to your blog.

Everyone is looking for ways to make money online, they purchase program after program to either make a minimal short term amount or to simply fail. The truth about making money online is simple. Success starts in the little things, successfully manage to update your site daily, successfully get backlinks daily or successfully write articles daily. All these small successes eventually will lead you to the one success you really want and that is to make money online.
I think I probably started out pretty similar to most people. I saw an ad on a job website. $500 a day for writing data online, sound familiar? I went to the site and was sold by the sales copy and ultimately paid $50 for the program. It gave me a real minor insight into clickbank and adwords but no where near enough to make any real money online. It gave brief information about writing free ads but again no where near as much information as I needed.
There are lot of these low quality programs around I think I bought about 9 |

Have you ever wanted to start an online business but can't figure out just where to start? You can earn money on the Internet by starting your own website or blog, becoming an affiliate marketer, or selling your own products online.
How to Start Earning Money with Your Own Website or Blog
Once you have gotten your website or blog set up and running, you can make money by publishing ads on them. Google, Yahoo, and MSN all have ad campaigns where ads can be placed on your web site and you get paid when an Internet user clicks on one of the ads. You just publish the ads along side of your content then when your visitors click on them, you earn money.
Get Paid For Doing Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing works like this: You run ads for other people's products or other site owner's on your web site or blog. Different affiliate programs have different pay structures to compensate you for running the ads you put on your web site or blog.

So, you want to be an Internet millionaire, huh? If so, then you need an effective marketing strategy. It doesn't matter what you are selling. There are consumer groups for all products and services online. What is important is developing a clear understanding of how to market and who to market to. If your marketing is ineffective, it won't matter who is exposed to it. If your marketing is effective, but sent to the wrong consumers, you may as well have never created it.
Here are three very effective (and inexpensive) methods for driving hot, targeted leads to your landing pages, squeeze pages and/or websites. Each can provide you with a continuous flow of traffic that is pre-sold and ready to allot you some of their hard-earned cash:
-Article writing & submission:
o Costs only time and thought
o Brands you or your product
o Establishes your expertise in a given niche

When it comes to driving quality visitors to your website the search engines simplt cannot be beat. Is it any wonder that SEO is so vital to the success of your website and ultimately how much money you can make from your online business.
If you look around the internet you will find lots of good advice however there is also some terrible advice that you should avoid like the plague.
I would like to look at 3 aspects relating to SEO and give you a little bit insight into these areas;
1- Links
If you look around the internet you will hear lots of people shouting ,the more links the better, however this is simply false. It may have been ok at some point in the past but search engines are getting smarter and due to misuse of links are clamping down on multiple irrelevant links.
In more modern times an abundance of links from irrelevant sites with poor PR will probably do your site more harm than good. You should now be very picky about where |

The best marketing tool you could possibly give your business is the power of the internet. There is no other way on this earth that you could reach so many potential buyers for the lowest possible cost. Having a website that is marketed right, basically gives you a shop window on the busiest highway in the world.
Here are just a few ways of promoting your product or service online.
- Over 90% of people have at least one active email address. Use this to your advantage. Build trust and credibility through regular newsletters. Give your customers free advice and tips in your industry area and encourage readers to visit your site by telling them about the latest deals or discounts. Businesses that have a substantial number of email subscribers will have more success and ultimately be able to reach higher profit levels.

When it comes to promoting your site online it can really be quite a drag. There are many resources out there to help you but this either means spending lots of time building links manually or using spamming software to litter you link all over the net. Personally I tend to delete spam and so does the mighty google. So what do you do spam or spend loads of time looking for link partners, it seems like a lose, lose to me.
I would personally look to promote a site as a quality one with genuine authority. This means looking for sites that have a high PR and are respected within your industry. You see we all want are sites to be great but sometimes we lack the understanding needed to put them on the map. Remember that Google will use your links from other sites to judge yours. The higher the quality and authority the higher your site will appear in the SERPS.
This also works the other way. If you put your link on a low quality and less |

The content on your blog is what will ultimately decide its success or failure. The first step is to select a popular niche that has a strong market. In other words there must be a lot of people doing searches on the topic of your blog otherwise your blog will not get much traffic. There are many great free keyword tools you can use such as the overture keyword tool or the google keyword tool to look for niches that you can write a blog on.
It is best to pick a niche that you also have an interest in as this will make it a lot easier to add good content on your blog. Once you have selected a niche the next step is to pick a blogging |

Blogging really took off in the late 90s. It used to be a forum for voicing one's opinion on a given topic, but has evolved into masses of opinions on just about anything under the sun. As it continues to evolve, online advertising has entered the blog arena. Here are five top reasons why you should consider blogging as a serious internet marketing tool.
1.Blogging is simple. If you have a PC and an Internet connection then its easy for the average Jane to start within minutes, and advertise products, ideas or websites !
2. Blogging has a more 'authentic' feel to it. In many blogs, real people share their real-life experiences, untouched by paid advertising. Reading blogs about first-hand product use is increasingly being used by web shoppers as an authentic source of information before pressing the 'pay here now' button.
3. Blogging is mostly free. Because blogging is not yet a mainstream online advertising media, most sites still offer it for free. Anything free is definitely a |

If you are just getting started creating an affiliate marketing business online one of the easiest was to do so is to get a blog at Wordpress.com. It's free, it's easy, and you can be up and running in minutes. However, an affiliate marketing blog on Wordpress.com can be shut down before you can say why. Why? because of the Wordpress definitions of a spam blog that are often overlooked. So, do you splog or blog? Are you a splogger or a blogger?
A blog that is operating with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs fall into the Wordpress category of "splog." Wordpress defines an affiliate marketing blog as one it will ban. Wordpress states:
Affiliate marketing blogs: Blogs with the primary purpose of driving traffic to affiliate programs. To be clear, examples like people writing original book or movie reviews and linking them to Amazon, or people linking to their own products on Etsy do NOT fall into this category. We're only talking about blogs that are primarily designed to promote different affiliate programs.

For first time bloggers, a free blogging web site is a great way to get started in the blogosphere. Popular blogging web sites like Blogger and Eponym allow users to set up and host a blog without paying any fees at all.
This encourages people to start blogging, because the fact that one of these sites can provide you with all of the tools that you need to get your blog up and running without spending any money means that you have nothing to lose by starting a blog.
The fact that it is so easy to find a way to blog for free is one of the reasons why so many people who have never had any other kind of web presence before find themselves drawn to blogging.
By signing up with a free blogging web site, you may find it easier to get listed in search engines that you would if you were starting your own blog from scratch. For example, Google runs the free blog hosting site Blogspot and crawls its pages very often looking for updates, |

People now are using Videoblogging to post ideas and products over the internet. This form of communication may entail a lot of resources, but it is all worth it. If pictures say a thousand words, videoblogging exceeds that by far.
A videoblog requires larger disk spaces on websites, a faster server, and a whole new set of programs to support it. Videoblogs can be fed through RSS. This is technology of syndicating your website to other RSS aggregators.
Videoblogging works with people on the internet expressing their selves. Now if you put this on a business prospective, you are up to a lot of benefits. A blog is an online journal wherein you can digitally pen down anything that you want people to read.
Blogs come in different styles, formats, and settings, depending on the preference of the user. Many blogging sites, offer built in features such as hyperlink, straight texts, pictures etc. Some blogging sites, even allow you to put video and mp3's on your blogs.
Instead of writing texts, some bloggers choose to make their blogs more audio friendly, by using spoken word entries. This is called audio blogging.
Basically a blog contains these features:
title- which allows you to label your post
body- this is the content of your post
trackback- other sites can be linked back to your blog
permanent link- every article that you write has a URL
comments- this allow readers to post comments on your blog.
One of the advantages of blogging, is that it is made of only a few templates. Unlike, other websites that is made up of numerous individual pages. This make it easier for blog users to create new pages, |

Blogging is one of the easiest ways to set up a website. Pick a topic, blogging platform, host and theme/template for your blog, and start writing. It's low cost and can be a lot of fun.
Picking a Blog Topic
Just about anything will do, depending on your goals. Blogs have become successful businesses on all kinds of topics.
However, your blog needs to be on something that you can write consistently about while maintaining your readers' interest. If you can only come up with a few post ideas you might not have the right topic for a blog.
While choosing your topic really has little to do with your blogging platform, it is so relevant to starting a blog that it is worth mentioning. It can also matter when it comes to deciding how serious you are about your blog, which can impact the platform you choose.
Choosing Your Blogging Platform

Some say writing is an art, then, I say, blogging is one way of using words to come up with art. People who are into blogging are artistic in their own sense. They carefully choose words that would best describe their feelings, sentiments, wishes, desires, and everything.
Basically, blogs were first introduced as weblogs that refer to a server log file. It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Since its inception in the mid-1990s, web logging gradually saturated the virtual community making the Internet a viable source of greater information.
However, with web logging, you still need a web site and domain names, but with blogging, you do not need anything just an account with blog providers. In most cases, these kinds of blogs are free of charge.
With the onset of blogging in the industry, personal journaling had been a common ground for people who wish to be known all over the world. However, not literally famous as this is not a case on being popular or well-known personality.

Companies engaging in business blogging have a definite edge over its competitors.
Here are some advantages:

- Awareness and loyalty.
- Feedback.
- Community halo-effect.
For better marketing results, actively promote your business blogs by submitting your blogs to blog search sites and directories. Do not forget to paste in with your blogs, your URL. People spend time reading blogs. People read their friend's blogs, their favorite author's blogs, blogs on topics that they are interested in, and blogs on product reviews. With the increasing popularity of blogging, it is even feared that people rely on blogs to get the latest news.
